Having the opportunity to work with Shawn Pitzel at Mission Studio was life-changing. Not only is he a great musician, but he also has the best ears in the business and a knack for production and arrangement that is second to none. When we were working on the Surrender album, Shawn and I began to focus on some of my instrumental ideas. This track was very much a collaboration and even had some success on Adult Contemporary radio. For years afterward I received regular royalty cheques due to the tune being played every night around midnight on CJRQ in Toronto.
