Another piece written in Antarctica. Named after the ship of famed French explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot. Charcot charted much of the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula in the early 1920s. He died in 1936 when the Pourquoi Pas sank in a storm off the coast of Iceland. He was known as the "gentleman explorer". We should all live by his creed: WHY NOT?
